Thien Duong - Paradise Cave
The tourist/public section has been fitted with timber stairs and a boardwalk about 1km long.
Some 60 km northwest of Dong Hoi and 200m above sea level, Paradise Cave was discovered by a local man in 2005 and the first 5km of this cave was explored by the British Cave Research Association. Its entire length of 31.4 km was later documented by the Association and believed to be the longest cave in the world.
Awesome: stalagmites resembling intricately carved statues and glimmering stalactites of white crystal suspended, far above us.
We had a basic Samsung camera, plus a better Canon Power Shot SX50, however capturing the immense scale and beauty of this cave was almost futile.
