Jeremy Corbyn has been elected leader of the  Labour Party, in a stunning first-round victory that dwarfed even the mandate for Tony Blair in 1994.
He won with nearly 59.5% of first-preference votes.  251,000  out of 422,000 votes in this leadership election. (over 500,000 were eligible to vote)

Jeremy Corbyn as the new leader immediately, joined thousands in Parliament Square today who want a government that can and will respond properly to refugee crisis

Tom Watson has been elected as deputy leader of the Labour Party. Tom Watson defied the party whip, and along with Jeremy Corbyn voted against the wicked Welfare Reform Bill.
The main changes proposed by the Government are reducing the household welfare cap from £26,000 to £23,000; abolishing legally binding child poverty targets, cuts to child tax credits, cuts to Employment and Support Allowance, and cuts to housing benefit for young people.

From now on Labour will become an effective opposition to the Conservatives along with the Scottish National Party and the Greens.
