A lone Rainbow Bee-eater on migration from Australia ! – Chinese Gardens.
Much excitement by twitchers here, standing by their tripods and carefully adjusting long lenses. I was told that only six or seven Rainbow Bee-eaters arrive every year at the Gardens.
Unfortunately, having left our tripod behind this is the best of several bad shots.
Fresh water snail lays bright pink eggs on reeds, rocks or posts just above the waterline.
