N’Dhala Gorge – East McDonnell Ranges – NT 11-05-2014

Arrernte custodians for Irtwentye (East McDonnell Ranges) say that the petroglyphs tell the story of the life cycle of two different kinds of caterpillars.

This is a part of dreamtime legend where spirit ancestors roamed the land creating all living things, the landscape, languages and law.
