Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo   We were lucky to get this shot, although they are fairly common in this region.

Once common in Western Australia, sadly in the last 50 years have been reduced by 50% owing to loss of habitat. It is now listed in WA as rare and likely to become extinct, however there a Birdlife Recovery programme that began in 2004.
