Louise Bourgeois dies aged 98

Four of her sculptures - including a 30-ft (nine-metre) tall spider, titled Maman - were among the first works to appear in the new Tate Modern in London 10 years ago.
In 2000 the bronze spider was sited within the huge entrance hall (once the turbine engine hall of the old Bankside Power Station) to celebrate the opening of Tate Modern.

we've seen the spider in london and tokyo scarlett - and we hadn't heard of Louise Bourgeois' death, so we're very sad - she remains an inspiration. MMXX
