There are estimated to be 500,000 to 1,000,000 petroglyphs in the Burrup Peninsular area, with about 1000 petroglyphs present at this (Deep Gorge) site. These rock engravings are estimated to be from 30,000 years ago - to the 1860’s

Pilbara Wild Tomato(Solanum phlomoides)      These little flowers are related to the mulla-mullas

Green Birdflower (Crotalaria cunninghamii) such a fascinating plant yet unobtrusive from afar.

The Bardi name for this plant is Oorlgoo and is rich in nectar.
