Wicken Fen – Cambridgeshire 23-04-2015

Wicken Fen is a wetland nature reserve situated near the village of Wicken, Cambridgeshire.
It is one of Britain's oldest nature reserves, and was the first reserve cared for by the National Trust, starting in 1899.

Nature Trail follows Wicken Lode.


Under the bridge – to the left for Burwell Lode, on the right to the River Cam via lock gate.

Ahead is the lock gate to the River Cam.

What a blissful day on Wicken Lode – next time I will continue along the Burwell to Reach Lodes.
