Manjimup to Pemberton & Aboretum Camp W A 19-10-10

Oval leaf Hovea

Coral vine and Cutleaf Hibbertia

Common Clematis ! so beautiful as can be seen in the close up above overall pic

Old Fire spotting Karri (60m high) now accessed to the platform top by agile climbers.

Karri treetop about 45 -50m

Karri plus Jarrah forest planted in the early 1900's I can see why the timber men loved these trees for their soaring height without any lateral branches until above 40m also termite resistant. Much of the Karri and Jarrah timbers were used in England as railway sleepers and the in construction of the London underground.

Ring necked parrot emerald tail and wings - incredibly fast in flight.
